About Us
Sperlyn Foundation (SF) is an organization that was registered in 2023 in accordance with act no.16 of 2011 of the laws of Zambia. as a non-governmental, non-political and not for profit organization.
The vision of the Foundation is to actively advocate for, contribute to, and promote the social and economic development of vulnerable individuals, particularly women, children, and persons with disabilities, while ensuring their rights are protected and opportunities for empowerment are maximized.
Empowering Lives, Promoting Justice
Sperlyn Foundation also advocates for and defends social justice and human rights, particularly for disadvantaged individuals such as women and children. It achieves this through the provision of education, healthcare, psychosocial support, and comprehensive charity initiatives.
Born from Pain, Built for Empowerment
The organization was founded by Everlyn Sainela, inspired by her personal experience of enduring a 15-year abusive marriage. Recognizing the widespread challenges faced by women and girls in similar situations, she established the foundation to champion the rights and welfare of women and children.
